While on a recent trip to Peru, I was overwhelmed by the beauty, majesty, and wonder of the mountains, the historically significant archeological ruins, and the authentic Quechua people we met along the way. 

 

The song, “To the Mountain” by Lizzie McAlpine (really!!) perfectly summed up the feeling of serenity and awe I experienced while enjoying the breathtaking views.  The slow pace of the music perfectly matched the slow pace of our trek … because getting to the top of the mountain was definitely not a race.
